GSBA is honored to have you and your family join us at this year’s Pohela Boishakh – রঙ্গে রঙে বৈশাখ ... “ColorFest 1419” celebrating our Bengali New Year 1419. Please note the following important information:
This year’s event will be held at the San Dieguito Park. We sincerely hope that you will join us and help celebrate our New Year with great passion and fervor.
We are encouraging everyone to wear red-white attire to harmonize with the theme of Pohela Boishakh!!!

· Snacks and traditional Pitha.
· Boishaki Opener
· “Hand off” to your new elected EC for the 2012-2013 term. The new EC is eagerly waiting to meet you. This is their opportunity to get to know you, answer your questions, and provide what’s in store for us for this year. You will be surprised and enthralled!!!
· ColorFest – It’s a surprise!!! This will blow you away.
· Kids & Adults Program
· Games, games, and games for all ages. If you had come to our picnic last year, you raved about our games. This will be a “topper” from last one. It is still a secret .. Sshhhhh!!!
· Food – Well, besides the traditional “Boishakhi” food we have a surprise for you here as well. You just have to find out when you are there!!!
· Afternoon with the STARS
o San Diego Chargers – Punting Clinic for you - Whew what a treat!!!
o Ram Tasildar– Famous Bollywood Pop and Playback singer singing some of his hit Bengali songs. His background includes an illustrious lineage of renowned thumri singer Reba Muhury & the famous Music Director Gautama Mukherjee!!!
· Food drive for the homeless. Please bring your canned and boxed goods or you can donate money and we will buy boxed goods for you!!!
