The following candidates are running for 2012 Treasurer position:
GSBA Treasurer Candidate Profile : Sourav Kundu
Sourav was born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal. He moved to San Diego in March 2008 and fell in love with the weather, its hilly surroundings, and of-course the calm vastness of the Pacific ocean. Although he loves San Diego, he misses Kolkata, and frequently complains about the lack of fast food corners in San Diego. He has an immense passion for the Bengali culture and especially recitation and drama. During his leisure time he loves to listen Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti, watch movies, go swimming and hiking.
Sourav is a Computer Science graduate from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpore. Mathematics is his favourite subject. Currently he is working for Qualcomm Innovation Center as an Integration and Systeme Triage Engineer in the Browser team. Prior to joining Qualcomm, he had worked for Care Fusion as an Automation Tool Engineer and Sony Electronics as a Software Developer, both in San Diego.
Sourav served the community (SAIKAT) for the last four years with his limited knowledge of culture . He served GSBA actively in all the former events starting from Pohela Boishakh- Bangla Noboborsho. He was the key character in the Bijoy Dibosh 2011 drama comedy “Babuder Daal Kukure.” He is an excellent team player. Sourav always seeks out feedback about his own work and and uses it to improve his performance.
He is a highly motivated, proactive, and conceptual individual. He is an innovative problem solver with excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication and listening skills. He is always ready to accept challenges and meet the deadlines for any job that he undertakes.
