The following candidates are running for 2012 General Secretary position:
GSBA General Secretary Candidate Profile : Aboo Nasar
I am Dr. Aboo Nasar. Currently the President and Co-founder of Senior Medical Associates serving Greater San Diego area. 6 years ago I moved into San Diego Area from Dallas Texas where I founded Wellness Concepts a multi speciality group.Came to lovely San Diego for my Fellowship in Geriatrics at UCSD and fell in love with San Diego and decided to relocate.
I consider myself a medical enterpreneur, successfully managing physicians to running Aesthetic Laser center to Anti aging center. I am very passionate about aging related matters and currently board certified in 4 different medical specialties including Holistic Medicine and Anti aging Medicine. I am a coveted speaker in Holistic Health matters and participate in popular Radio talk shows aired nation wide.
I consider myself a team player. Being also the Medical Director of Seasons Hospice and couple of other Skilled Nursing Facilities in San Diego area, I have set up a mile stone in team building and setting up protocols of successfully running organizations.I am currently serving as General Secretary to Bangladesh Medical Association, California Chapter.
During my academic career I earned laurels in debates, extemporaneous speeches was champion in Medical and Intermedical cultural competitions. I was also the editor for the English section for Annual College Magazine. What I take pride in is humanitarian works. Currently I am the Vice President cum Acting President for GSBA. We have developed excellent team work to catapult a 1 year old organization like GSBA to a a name well recognized for its excellence in cultural programs. I would relentlessly pursue to get GSBA to a next level excelling in humanitarian efforts locally and in Bangladesh. Given the opportunity we definitely can set a mile stone in that arena.
My spouse Molly is a Spine Injury physicians and we are blessed with 2 boys Rakin and Razeen.
